Shadow x Zara the trip

It had been three months since Shadow and Sonic had fought and suprisingly the two seemed to be getting on ok, things had been going so well that Zach had suggested that they all take a trip to Spagonia to visit their old friends again.
"Zara stop dreaming and get packing" beth laughed as she threw zara's clothes over "we're leaving tomorrow and you haven't even started to pack."
"I know, I know but I can't help it. Sonic and Shadow have almost been friends. I can't help but think that something is wrong" Zara replied  as she put the clothes away
"Look, relax you and Shadow are going to have two whole weeks together with no interuptions from Scourge or Eggman or anyone else who plans to take over the world or distroy the city so enjoy it Zara and hurry up with the packing or Zach says we'll leave without you."  Beth called as she left
"Good luck with that! Shadow would never let you leave without me." Zara called back
"we'll see Zara"  she laughed
The next morning
"Zara hurry up!" Zach called "we need to go"
"stay calm I'm coming" Zara grinned as she raced out the door. Zach, Jo,Jamie,Beth,Kay,Drake,Lauren,Sonic and Shadow stood outside
"We're meeting Amy and the others at the train station" Zach said taking control
"we're taking the train?!" Sonic sounded discusted "But it would be quicker to run there!"
"Hey" Beth cried "you seem to be forgetting something"
"what?" Sonic sounded puzzled
"that we're not all hedgehogs who can run at the speed of sound"
"Well Zach you were right about one thing" Jamie said as she picked up her bag
"what?" Zach sounded so much like Sonic that everyone started to laugh. Over their heads Sonic shot his future son a sympathetic look.
"that we really need a break" Jamie finished when she calmed down
"you know what I really need" Shadow said as he slid over to talk to Zara
"what?" Zara joked making everyone but Shadow start to laugh again
"More time with you" Shadow said before kissing Zara on the cheek and before she could stop him he took her case and ran off.
"HEY, GET BACK HERE" Zara yelled as she chased after him
