Shadara what might be pt16

The ceremony was perfect; the only problem was Beth trying to keep Jo awake without letting Amy see what she was doing. Things had gone well: Blaze had managed not to cry during photos; Sonic had actually turned up this time; Lauren was still unaware how bad the boys had been a hour earlier; Opal had managed to stay calm and in control throughout the day and none of the others knew how tired the boys were...until the after party.
"Hey Sonic!" Silver called as he spotted the other hedgehog amongst the crowd "Now that Zach and Lauren are married you, me, Amy and Shadow are all related"
"I know Silver" Sonic grinned "Amy was telling me how her and Blaze are now sisters, they seemed happy about it"
"Tell me about it" Silver grinned "Do you think I should talk to Shadow?"
Sonic no longer seemed so happy "if you want Silv"
Silver looked confused for a second before sighing "You still don't like him?"
"It's not him, it's the fact he's dating my daughter. He's never given her a chance to be with anyone else, I mean: they met when she was young; got married early and now they have a daughter  together so that's it now it's going to be the two of them" Sonic sighed
Silver smiled "Really you're bringing Sierra into this? You love that kid and you spoil her rotten even though she's Shadow's daughter"
"I know" Sonic muttered
"You're just trying to look after her" Silver reassured him "you don't want her to get hurt and that's a good thing. If you want the truth I didn't trust Zach when he said he wanted to date Lauren and yet anything else and I'd trust him with my life" Silver smiled again "And you'd better not have a problem with Sierra because she's coming here now" Sonic turned round to see the little blue hedgehog heading towards them with Amy following her. Sonic smiled as he picked her up "Hello there" Sierra giggled "Grandpa!"
Sonic sighed "Thanks Sierra I'm not that old"
Sierra just kept giggling. Sonic sighed and stroked her cheek.
"Sierra does your Mommy know you're here?" Silver asked her.
"Yeah Zara knows she's with me." Amy cut in "We're looking for Daddy aren't we?"
"Daddy!" Sierra cried in delight. Silver grinned "I'll take her I want to talk to Shadow anyway" he winked "and that gives you two some alone time" Amy squealed in delight and hugged Silver. Silver grinned and took Sierra who immediately started to cuddle him. Silver looked for Shadow and found him standing with Matt and Knuckles.
"You'd better be ready to lose" Matt grinned "You're betting against the prophet"
Shadow smirked "You can't always be right"
Matt smirked back "we'll see"
"Shadow!" Silver decided to make himself known before Sierra picked up several gambling tips and a love for betting; after all he didn't want to explain that to Zara. Shadow turned round to find Silver and his daughter; he looked slightly alarmed clearly thinking the same thing as Silver.
"Silver! How long have you been there" Shadow asked as he wandered over; as soon as he got close Sierra started to squirm.
"Not long" Silver grinned as Sierra climbed over into Shadow's arms and snuggled up to him. Waiting till Sierra settled down Shadow then turned his attentions to Silver "What do you want?"
"Just to talk" Silver replied
"Very well"
Meanwhile...
"Come on Zach!" Lauren whined "for me?" she stared up at him trapping him in her gaze; Zach sighed he knew this would happen "fine I'll enter the dance contest but then you've got to enter the singing contest for me" Lauren smiled and hugged him "this will be fun Zach; we'll get to judge each other then we get to be alone for three and a half weeks!" Zach smiled he was glad she was happy even though she still had no idea where they were going for the honeymoon. "Lauren who else is judging the dance contest?" Lauren just winked at him "You'll have to wait and see"
