Life in the future pt91

Shadow was mildly surprised when he glanced at the fight and saw it was still going; it wasn't difficult to beat one hedgehog. His ruby eyes scanned the group for Onyx and found him locked in combat with Marie. That was almost as interesting as finding Shane fighting Zach while he and Laila were switching targets... so Shane was still the enemy despite leading them back. Shadow let out a low growl at the fight but didn't move. Mephiles' eyes seemed to shine at the fight's improved odds. Shadow wondered if he was glad his son was fighting; Mephiles was impossible to read. Rouge shifted in Mephiles' grip and caused Shadow's attention to return to her.

Onyx was absorbed in his fight with Marie. Nothing else going on around them mattered; this was the way to get Marie out of his life for good. So it was because of this that neither Onyx nor Marie immediately noticed Shane get in the middle of the fight.  When both stopped attacking him Shane glared at them, displaying a newly acquired black eye.
Marie scowled "what do you want rat?"
Shane growled "We have a panda problem"
Onyx laughed "you're getting beat up by Laila?"
Shane scowled "she's tougher than she looks!"
Marie glanced at the panda and snickered "Shane she's tiny! I thought you were strong enough to handle yourself Shane"
Laila was watching the exchange and smiled when Shane looked at her "done now?"
Shane growled "you're not making a fool out me panda!"
Laila kicked up some dirt "you try again?"
Shane just growled louder and launched himself at her. Laila easily dodged his attack and quickly knocked his feet from under him.
"You done now?" she asked.
Shane got up and dusted the dirt of his fur "I'm just getting started"
Laila shrugged "better hurry and start or you stay down"
Shane snarled "when I'm done with you..."
"You have beat me first" Laila informed him.  
Shane snarled "I'm going to"

Zach and Zara were both trying to fight Lucifer but the other hedgehog kept vanishing to avoid their attacks.  
Zach groaned "Jo better have a good grip as I don't think Mephiles is coming to help anytime soon"
Zara sighed "I don't think this is going to work Zach"
Zach had spotted Inferno running over "we've started now so we'll have to try Zara"
Inferno grinned as he skidded to a stop "want some help?"
Zach nodded "we may need more than you"
Inferno laughed "hey if it gets to bad I'll ask my dad to deal with those clones so everyone can come over here... actually I thought Onyx was helping with this"
Zach glanced sideward's "It seems he's having some personal problems"
Inferno looked over at laughed "at least Laila's having fun"
Zara smiled "that makes two of us"
Zach grinned "make it three I think Lauren's coming to help"
Zara laughed while Inferno looked alarmed.
Zach laughed as well "see that's how I feel most of the time"
Inferno glanced at Zara "you must be like a mini headache for the amount of trouble you find"
Zara smiled "I try my best"
Inferno grinned "try harder then"
"and stay focused" Lauren told them as she jumped at Lucifer "or you'll not remember what happens later"
