Life in the future pt56

Zara sighed; it had been a two weeks since the temple 'incident' as Amy put it and now everyone had their parents following them everywhere! There was even a curfew now. Well not everyone was being followed; Onyx had just continued to live with Marie who was now six months pregnant. Scourge hadn't taken the news well and now seemed to hate Onyx more than anyone else in the world. The only one excited about Onyx's baby was Beth, who had realised that if Onyx was a father she would be an aunt. Zach groaned from where he was lounging on Zara's bed. The no running after 8 rule was driving him crazy.
"Onyx gets all the luck" Zach muttered.

Onyx sat at Marie's table staring at his hands. Every week that passed brought the birth of his child closer. Marie hadn't wanted to know if it was a boy or a girl so Onyx had just painted Marie's chosen room black and white. Getting things for the baby wasn't the problem though the problem was what to do about him and Marie; everyone said you should marry the girl when you get her pregnant but he really didn't love Marie. Asking his dad for advice had worked out wonderfully.
"So what should I do?" Onyx had asked.
"It doesn't really matter now" Shadow had told him "as long as you stick around you can't make things worse"
"Thanks dad!"
"When I told you I'd try and help I never said I'd give you good advice Onyx and anyway I'm sure you were around ten when I said that and the greatest problem I was expecting was 'what to do with my girlfriend?'"  
Onyx smirked "Isn't that what this is about?"
Shadow glared at him "You know I didn't mean if she was pregnant"
Onyx sighed "well what would you do?"
"I'd stay and marry her later if it worked out; it worked out for me and your Mother" Shadow admitted "Now get out of her before your mother comes back and makes me follow you around so you don't get hurt"
"She wouldn't do that"
Shadow grinned "want to bet?"
Onyx had left after that and once again found himself at Marie's more confused than when he left. So here he saw sitting at the table something in his hand that he kept turning over. Marie walked in.
"See you Onyx I'm off to my support group" she paused in the doorway "unless you want to come with me?"
Onyx shook his head "nah Marie two hours in a room full of pregnant women isn't my idea of fun"
"Suit yourself!" She called as she left.
Onyx groaned and flipped the lid of the box in his hand; allowing a flash of rainbow coloured light emerge as the sun struck the stone. "I could always ask" he muttered.

Marie had barely gotten out of sight from her house when a pair of hands grabbed her and pulled her close. She smiled.
"Did you do it?" she asked eagerly.
"Of course" The grey hedgehog told her as he kissed her "and I found out about our children"
"Children?" Marie asked alarmed.
"Twins" Lucifer explained "One with my fur colour and one with white a green her and brown fur"
Marie looked thoughtful "then you take the one with your fur and I'll keep the other"
Lucifer smiled "I was hoping you'd say I could have our son."
Marie laughed "Of course the boy would look like you!"
Lucifer looked at her closely "And Onyx has no idea?"
Marie scoffed "Of course not he's an idiot and an innocent one at that!"
Lucifer smiled wickedly "Well that's not good ... for him of course"
